Mary loves the majesty and beauty of this mountain town, which is rivaled only by the special people who live here. She worked in the automotive industry as a controller for 25 years, and was part of the Mercedes Benz “Best of the Best” team before moving to Telluride. On her first visit to Telluride in 1999, her very first hike was the Bear Creek Trailhead in the heart of town. At the end of the 1 1/2 mile hike there was a beautiful waterfall. It would take her seven years before eventually moving here in 2006 and marrying 3 years later. She and her husband share their lives with their 2 Portuguese Water dogs. Says Mary, "Telluride is by far the prettiest place I've ever lived. AND it's a Dog Town!"
Telluride will take your breath away. Perched at nearly 9,000 feet in elevation, the opportunities for outdoor adventure stretch beyond town center in a thousand different directions. It is said that people come here for the winters but stay for the summers. Once your eyes take in the sheer beauty of Bridal Veil Falls cascading to the east in the summer, the yellow Aspen leaves rippling in Autumn, the charm of the tiny historic gingerbread homes, and the world class skiing - you'll need a day planner just to schedule the insane amount of outdoor adventure.
